OK, are you looking for the magic on how to cut your own hair, well here it is. A good instructional lessons and or video(s) and I am sorry to say:

Practice – Practice – Practice.

Cutting hair and being a hairstylist is one thing. Anyone can be that, but to take it to another level and be a Great and professional hairstylist. Well hopefully your cuts and clients will attest to that. One thing that worked for me was to learn from someone that was already not only cutting hair, but creating great cuts and styles. Anyone can cut hair, but not everyone can do it well. The one that can, have taken the time to education themselves. I’m not saying it’s hard because it’s not. It just takes some work. If your willing to invest some time into yourself. Then half the battle is won.

If you are interested in learning how to cut your hair then take this to heart. Begin by educating yourself. Read – Watch – AND start cutting. Just think of learning how to cut hair, like building a house. First you need a good solid foundation. The basics here. Once you have and know the basics of cutting, like face shapes, layering etc. then everything else will just comes together. Like building the house. Once the foundation is laid, you can add on, remodel and improve the look.

If you going to have a go at cutting your hair. Then just keep it simple at first. Single or one length (easy on the layering) cuts. Have a good pair of professional hair scissors and wet hair (unless your just cutting bangs or a fringe. Then you’ll want to cut the hair dry. This is to avoid cutting to much and the hair springing back on you.) to start with. The just work in small sections, starting for one side of the head and working your way around. This will help you from cutting the same section twice.

The fact is there are all kinds of hair styles that can be cut at home. Once you learn to cut your own hair there is no limit to what can be done and it really is a lot of fun. If you can’t take pay $40 $50 $60 a cut, then this is you ticket and believe me there’s a lot of people stopping by the house not the salon to get a great cut at a great price.

When It come to mens hair styles, believe me, men aren’t just thinking about their clothes and shoes their thinking about their hair too. These days there are many different hairstyles not only for women, but for men.

A mens short hair style usually needs to look classy and sophisticated, but for younger men they may be looking for, fades, tapper cuts, clipper fades, temple fades. Well I think you get the idea here. Theirs just a lot of choices for men and not just the lady’s when it comes to deciding on a haircut and style. Sometimes a nice clean cut can make a man fill good about himself or give him some self confidence. While other cuts can make you look and feel younger.

If your looking for a short hairstyle, be sure to that It is even length or fades correctly. You do this either by scissor over comb method or with clippers. Making sure it short all over and not short on the bottom with the rest of the hair too long on top. You could also have a variation of short hair on the sides, gradually increasing in length on top. Some styles like this include having your bangs pushed forward, or maybe having them gelled upwards and back. To create this style or a spiky look just use some hair gel or a similar type product. There are those to who like a more messy look! You just allow your hair to fall randomly. A kinda wash and wear look. Then just use a little hair product to achieve a good messy look. after showering don%u2019t comb your hair. Just apply some pomade or gel and moderately mess up your hair as if a woman has just run her hands through it a few times!

Which ever hair style you choice, be sure that cut and style fits with your lifestyle and personally. No need to worry about whether it should be longer or shorter at first. Just start by finding some great styles you like. Some great places to look and find nice hair styles that are either hip or trendy are in celebrity magazines. These celebrities always have what is fashionable now and they often try many looks out with each style. This would give you a great way to see what you want before having to actually cut your hair or change your look.

Hair salons and barbershops Will always have different books and picture’s with the latest trends and fashions.

Cutting hair is a lot easier then it’s sometimes made out to be. Once you get the basic techniques down. You’ll be well on your way to giving fantastic haircuts.

Like I said cutting hair is really pretty simple and cutting hair at home will save you money. Perhaps even make you some, once you follow these easy and simple steps.

Here I put together a basic hair cutting how to guide

Getting your Haircut is just a fact of life, and unless you are totally bald, then your probably already spending good money to have you and your family’s hair cut. Now once you learn how to cut your family and friends hair you can really start to save some hard earned dollars.

Start with a good pair of hair cutting scissors. This is very important, so to not damage your hair with paper or house hold scissors. Believe me, dull or paper scissors will pull the hair and just cause split ends. You’ll also want to have a brush and comb, spray bottle with water, a couple of hair clips and a good long mirror or two.

When you decide it’s time to cut, go ahead and shampoo and condition the hair. (It’s much easier to work with clean, conditioned hair) Then use a towel to get some of the excess water out. Now using your brush or fine toothed comb to comb the hair out, so that you can begin cutting.

Depend on the style and cut you want, I suggest if this is your first time to just trim a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch off. If your going for a even, single length cut, then this is pretty straight forward. If your wanting to have layers, then you’ll want to work in small sections, starting at the top of the crown (head) and bring that section of hair out at a slight angle using your comb and holding that section between you middle and index fingers. Then only cut about a 1/2 inch at first. After cutting each section let the hair fall, so you can see how the layers are forming.

Take the next section and part of the last section you just cut ( you’ll be using that last section as you guide to cut the correct length of your next section)

I want to repeat: When cutting the layers start at the crown and bring the hair straight up and out at an angle. The more angle you have before cutting the softer the layers will be. Then just work around the head. Starting center back. Then just work around one side and again repeating the same cut on the other side.

Remember to just take your time and make small cuts. Once you begin to see how the hair takes shape. You’ll start to build confidence in your cutting.

Once your cut is finished be sure to check that the lengths are even. The correct way to do this is take the same small sections from each side of the head (Best to start with sections above the ears, towards the top or just where the crown begins to curve and bring the two sections together (depending on the length of your hair) either toward the bridge of the nose and or the chin.

Dry your hair as you would normally and check for missed hair, or lengths that don’t blend in well and trim them.

To get a detailed step-by-step guide and instructions on learning how to cut hair. Which comes with detailed pictures and examples that will walk you through every step of the way. Then you’ll want to check out the “How to Cut Hair Guide for Beginners.” You can also sign up for my free 6-pair mini-course on learning how to cut hair.

Happy Cutting

Knowing how to cut boy’s hair at home can save you a lot of money and headache. cutting boy’s hair should and can be very simple and easy to do. Boy’s get their hair dirty and messy on a daily basis. Not to mention they’re very active. Most parents tend to stay away from Longer hair with boy’s, because it tends to just get in the way if their playing a outdoor game or any other fun activities, so the majority of parents prefer short and simple hairstyles for boys.

There are certainly some big differences between kids and adults when it comes to just about everything you can imagine. This is something to keep in mind when it comes to how to handle cutting boys hair at home. A Young boy for the most part really doesn’t care what his hair looks like. They play hard, in the dirt on the grass in the yard and their hair is probably the last thing they are worried about. So having a short or easy to manage haircut for your kid(s) is probably the way to go.

One of the easiest and most popular haircuts for young boys is a crew cut. This haircut is the shortest in length and easiest it manage. Most boy’s look good with this type of cut.

For most kids, keeping their hairstyle simple is easier for a couple of reasons. First, they are children and are not at an age where appearance is a big deal (This is not always the case especially with girls) and when the day does come when their hair is a big deal. Then will just cross that bridge later… Second, because most children are in fact active, hairstyles that are simple, easy to manage and style are a better choice since most kids ruin their hairstyles anyways. Kids will dirty up and tangle their hair on a daily basis, so keeping their hairstyle simple really make thing so much easier.

For young children, the best haircuts are the short ones, hands down. Short hairstyles like spikes and crew cuts are great for young boys. These haircuts are short and simple, so that they can be active without to much fuss to the hair. Short one length layered cuts are also an great and easy to manage haircut for that little gentlemen.

Fades and Spiky hair is another route to go. It’s a little more up keep, but these cuts work well with boy too. Spike haircuts are fun and a bit of a fashion statement. As for a nice fade, it is always a good choice and if done correctly it’s a very clean and handsome hairstyle for any young man.

When it come to our kids hair be sure to find something that is age appropriate, meaning be aware of the time required for the management of the style and consider how playful and energetic children are.

There’s nothing worse then cutting your own hair only to make some big mistakes and completely mess it up.

Now if your looking to learn how to cut your own hair, then I suggest you should try and keep the same general style at first. Meaning just give yourself a small to medium cut every four to six weeks, using your current style as a guide.

What You’ll Need

You’ll need a big mirror (bathroom or kitchen), good lighting, a spray bottle with water, a hand mirror, hair clips, a comb and sharp pair of hair scissors. Sharp scissors are important, as dull scissors will result in a dull cut and will damage the hair.

Prepare Your Hair

It’s much easier to cut damp hair, as opposed to your hair being completely wet, so just towel dry your hair after you get it wet. Cutting wet hair (especially when it comes to bangs) can result in a hair cut that ends up way too-short . It is also a lot easier to cut clean hair. When you are ready, slightly dampen your hair with a spray bottle of water or shampoo and condition it then towel dry slightly.. If your hair dries as you’re cutting just re-spray with your water bottle..

Don’t cut to much…

Remember, it is better to cut too little than too much.

Single Length Hair

Hair that is one length all the way around is pretty straightforward. Just follow the procedure for bangs (below), cutting the same amount off your ends in small sections. When you are finished cutting just brush and style.

Bangs

For multi-length hair with bangs, start with cutting your bangs first. Comb them straight down, being careful not to include side hairs. Be sure to take the rest of your hair and clip it back or put into a ponytail. Next, take your bangs between your index and middle fingers and pull them down (use very little to no tension) and trimming into then at a slight angle.

Don’t try and cut too much length at once.

I recommend cutting your bangs by diagonally cutting the tips of a few strands of hair across your bangs. A Bunt cut can be a bit hard to do if your looking for that perfectly straight line.

Sides and Layers

The next step is to cut layers into your hair. If you have layers all over, you will be following them, top to bottom, front to back. If your hair is all one length except for the side angles, you will be working along the sides of your hair style only, front to back.

Choose small sections of the top layer or side. Cutting smaller sections is easiest to work with. If you try to hold and cut too much at once, the result will be uneven.

You will be able to pick out layers of similar lengths by using your comb as a guide and holding the hairs between your index and middle fingers, as you did with your bangs. Slide your fingers down to leave a fairly straight line. Then cut all the way across. For side angles, follow the same technique, being sure to angle your index and middle fingers to follow the angle of your hair.

The Back

Trying to cut the back of your hair is a bit tricky, but you’ll get the hang of it. Just take your time, make sure to check each of your cuts by using your hand mirror and working each cut in small sections.
